This was my favorite in college, and I hoped it was still as good as I remembered when I took a large group of coworkers there a few years since I last tried it. 9 of us ordered an entree each, which was an enormous amount of food, but it was so good we ate basically everything, leaving behind just some garnish. The double cooked pork, a dish I ALWAYS get at Sichuan style restaurants was delicious - crispy pork belly, delicious black bean sauce, and a right amount of kick. The basil chicken was also super, super good. It was extremely spicy, but the flavors were awesome. The Peking duck flavor was really good as well (the SKIN... so good), but I think they could separate the fat from the skin. I'm so glad this place is still as good as it was when I was in college, and it will be a go-to when I'm back in town.

Had a party of 10 this evening for dinner with  5 separate checks and the waitress did a great job with our group serving us and making sure all of our bills were correct!

    Food-
    Egg drop soup-very good!
Crab Rangoon-not impressed! Would not order them from here again.
Crispy Chicken in chefs special sauce- I asked the waitress before ordering if it was spicy and she said no, but the dish was very spicy!
    Singapore noodles-nicely done

This is an authentic Chinese restaurant. The menu is extensive with lots of options for everyone. I would definitely recommend the dumplings! Everything we ordered was great! Unfortunately they don't have brown rice as a healthier alternative to white rice. The portions were sizable and everything was reasonably priced.

It is fairly dark inside but gives off a Chinese restaurant vibe. There's nothing special inside but it suits the food.

If I'm craving Chinese food I will definitely be back!

Pretty decent Chinese food considering the size of Cville and definitely our go-to Chinese restaurant in town! The dish that keeps us coming back is the dried fried eggplant - a must-try if you are craving something salty, lightly fried with a hint of spicy and kick (previous yelp reviews on this dish led us to it and I do not regret it!). My husband and I have tried several of their other dishes including the scallion bubble pancake (light and tasty), crispy shrimp with scallion (similarly cooked and flavorful like the dried fried eggplant), and young chow fried rice (pretty average and not much of a fan of the imitation crab). The disappointing dish was the soup dumplings - they lacked the flavor we were looking for and left something to be desired. Meals typically end with sliced juicy oranges which is a nice touch. Not super fancy for dinner, but you'll leave full and satisfied.

Came in with a group of 4. The restaurant is plenty big so no wait. Food was really underwhelming. The restaurant could use a renovation. They were sorting produce at one of the tables where customers are supposed to sit which I thought was really weird. One of my friends loves their beef soup but I did not try it.
Service was fine. The lunch special is $7 for a plate and a soup. I got the peppered beef. So price point is very low but, I would still not come back.
